QA Higher Education is seeking experienced and engaging Lecturers in Construction Management to join our academic team in London on a flexible Zero Hours Contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your industry expertise and academic knowledge into the classroom, supporting students as they develop the skills and confidence to succeed within the construction and built environment sector.
About the Role
As a Lecturer in Construction Management, you will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of construction management and built environment modules. You'll play a key role in creating an engaging learning experience, supporting student achievement, and contributing to the ongoing development of programme content.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging and industry-relevant teaching across Construction Management programmes.
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning materials that support student success.
- Assess student work and provide constructive, timely feedback.
- Support and mentor students throughout their academic journey.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of module and course content.
- Work collaboratively with academic colleagues and quality assurance teams to maintain high academic standards.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including university partners.
About You
Essential
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Built Environment, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong subject knowledge within Construction Management and the wider construction sector.
- Experience teaching, training, mentoring or delivering learning within Higher Education, Further Education, or industry settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident using digital learning platforms and Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs).
Desirable
- Teaching qualification and/or HEA Fellowship.
- Industry experience within construction, project management, site management, quantity surveying, or related fields.
- Knowledge of Higher Education assessment and quality assurance processes.
- Membership of a relevant professional body such as CIOB, RICS, APM, ICE, or similar.
