Student Advice & Support Assistant
QA Higher Education – On-Site | Birmingham
Full-Time | 37.5 hours/week | Monday to Saturday (shift pattern including evenings & Saturdays)

What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our Student Advice & Support Centre (SASC) team, you’ll be the friendly face and first point of contact for QA Higher Education students. You’ll provide advice, support, and guidance across a wide range of queries—face-to-face, over the phone, and online—ensuring every student receives an outstanding experience.
You’ll play a key role in:
• Delivering exceptional front-line customer service across all QAHE centres.
• Logging and referring enquiries using our internal systems.
• Resolving queries using your initiative, knowledge of policies, and discretion.
• Supporting enrolment and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new students.
• Acting as a knowledgeable team member for more complex queries.
• Ensuring timely responses and consistent information across all channels.
This role includes working at least one Saturday every four or five weeks (9:00am–5:00pm) as part of a shift rota. Uniform provided.
What You’ll Bring
• Highly organised with strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
• An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines under pressure.
• A natural problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
Full training will be provided.
