We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Technology Delivery team. This is a key role where you’ll lead the delivery of technology‑enabled change, helping teams work in agile, effective ways and ensuring valuable outcomes are delivered predictably and at pace.
What’s in it for you?
- Be at the heart of delivering technology‑enabled transformation across QA Higher Education.
- Lead cross‑functional teams through discovery, build, test and release — from initiation through to benefits realisation.
- Work closely with Product Owners, technical leads, and senior stakeholders to shape delivery plans and remove blockers.
- Influence how we deliver by driving continuous improvement in agile ways of working, governance, and team health.
- A flexible role — office or home‑based, with travel to key stakeholder meetings.
What you’ll do
- Own end‑to‑end project delivery using agile approaches, from kick‑off to go‑live and operational handover.
- Establish and maintain agile delivery cadence, including sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
- Create and manage delivery plans, milestones, release schedules and dependency maps.
- Manage RAID, delivery governance, and change control — keeping reporting clear, proportionate and decision‑focused.
- Coordinate delivery across product, engineering, data, security, operations and third‑party vendors.
- Plan and assure testing, UAT, cutover and operational readiness, ensuring smooth transitions into business‑as‑usual.
- Track budgets, forecasts and supplier deliverables, escalating risks and variances where required.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience delivering technology‑enabled change using agile approaches.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum and/or Kanban) applied pragmatically in real delivery environments.
- Confidence managing delivery plans, dependencies, RAID and governance in complex stakeholder settings.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including with senior leaders.
- Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and third‑party suppliers.
- Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, PMI) and/or agile certification (or equivalent experience).
