About the Role
This newly created position is central to our commitment to student wellbeing and campus safety. As the Student Conducts and Resolutions Officer, you’ll lead the response to non-academic incidents, working closely with Estates, Facilities, and University Police Liaison Officers. You’ll investigate cases, coordinate disciplinary hearings, and deliver impactful student inductions on our Respect for All Policy.
You’ll also play a key role in informal complaint resolution, safeguarding collaboration, and awareness campaigns that foster empathy, inclusion, and respect across our diverse student body.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Be the go-to contact for students and staff on non-academic conduct concerns.
- Lead investigations and ensure timely, fair resolutions.
- Champion respect, inclusion, and anti-bullying policies.
- Deliver engaging workshops and awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments to support affected students.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to campus culture improvement strategies.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll build strong relationships with:
- Safeguarding and Mental Health teams
- Estates, Facilities, and Operations teams
- Academic staff and Student Services
- External partners including Police Liaison Officers and safeguarding agencies
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in investigations, conflict resolution, or student support.
- We’re looking for someone with strong administrative experience—confident in managing records, coordinating meetings, and keeping processes running smoothly behind the scenes.
- Strong communication, mediation, and report-writing skills.
- Empathy, cultural awareness, and discretion.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, and legal frameworks.
- Confidence in delivering training and awareness sessions.
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent.
